Fairlane Road Pedestrian and Street Safety (PASS)
The Fairlane Road Pedestrian and Street Safety (PASS) is another example of continued commitment by the City of Tallahassee to enhance the transportation network and improve quality of life. The roadway, which currently lacks any pedestrian facilities, will receive major safety improvements that benefit all drivers, cyclists and pedestrians. The design includes ditch enclosures as well as the addition of new sidewalks along both sides of the road. Further enhancements include updated pedestrian crossing conditions in the area.
To learn more about the project, an open house was held on February 19. City staff from the Underground Utilities & Public Infrastructure Department were present to discuss the proposed sidewalk project. As a resident or business owner in the area, your feedback will help refine the design concept and plans for this project.
